Jerry’s Beehives was founded in 1960 by Bill and Jerry Latner in Altoona, FL. As time passed many people came to know the name Jerry’s Beehives as being synonymous with quality honey. Jerry wouldn’t stop there, no indeed not. With his own hands, he built what is now a state of the art extraction, bottling and packaging center in the heart of Lake County, FL. Taking extreme care Jerry developed and licensed a small kitchen, where the real magic begins. With attention to every detail Jerry’s Beehives produces small batches of quality honey that is unsurpassed in Central Florida.

Florida was once known as the “capital” of orange honey for the world and by far the largest honey crop in Florida. With the demise of the citrus business, orange blossom honey has become a “specialty” honey only produced in a few remaining counties of south Florida.
